Maybe you already know or maybe not but chocolate brown as color is definitely in, yes the richness is back. This is true for upholstery, floor coverings and it is certainly true for chocolate brown curtains. Some kind of comfort usually comes with brown colors. Black for example is great but it can be too much and too edgy and it doesn’t seem to fit the personality of many people. Brown on the other hand is nothing like that but unfortunately many people think it is dull and that may be true if you get any plain shade of brown. However we are not just talking about any kind of shade here or any kind of fabric color we are talking about curtains that will look like the color of your favorite chocolate bar.

First lets just determine what can go well with chocolate brown. I think it’s safe to say that black, white, beige, burgundy and forest green go very well it. This is just off the top of my head but this point is simple if you have white tiles, beige rug or carpets or especially if you have wooden floors then just try to imagine how lovely the room will look. What can be better than hardwood floors with chocolate curtains on your windows? That is bold but in a subdued cool sort of way. Chocolate brown has actually been making a comeback for years now. It was definitely in the 70’s and like most things here it is again in more style than ever.
You may have the urge to tweak with the darkness or lightness of the fabric and that is certainly up to you but as a standard take the most traditional chocolate color and then compare what you want to that. There is nothing wrong with the color being a little lighter or a litter darker but going overboard and you will probably be at some other shade like Auburn, Sephia Russet, Wheat or even Copper. Just think about that for a second. To make matter easier I posted a traditional chocolate color, one that is not too light nor too dark. And again there is nothing wrong with say dark chocolate brown window curtains because they can look quite amazing with the right kind of furniture and wall color.
