Door window curtains are often used for decoration and privacy. These doors can either be entry doors and even doors inside a house. They are commonly called French doors. A curtain is perfect for these kinds of doors because they usually have glass from the top to the bottom. Without a curtain anyone could easily peek inside a house or room. A door window curtain uses fabric similar to window curtains but they don’t open in the same manner. Actually they do not open at all. If you want to see someone on the opposite side of the door then you can gently draw the curtain. Some curtains are also nailed at the top of the door and the bottom with a tieback in the middle, giving an hour glass appearance. This provides enough space to clearly see the outside of the door without having to touch the fabric.
The mostly used fabrics are lace and sheer, some people however don’t like opaque fabrics and opt for more thicker cloth material. White is also predominately used color but you can certainly buy other colored fabrics as well. There are other kinds of kinds of glass doors. Some only have glass in the upper half unlike French doors that have glass panels throughout the length of the door. Install this door curtains on these kinds of doors is a lot easier and if you are using a very light fabric you can actually tack them on. Door window curtains are also a good pit in the patio room. You don’t have to install them on all of your doors but with the right angle your patio room could very much look very attractive.
There isn’t a shortage of door panels styles but they way you can install them is quite limited. There simply aren’t that many ways you can install them on your doors. The fabric is what will determine how well they look appearance wise. Lace door window curtains are always beautiful even if they are see through. If you are a daring interior designer then you can probably pull of door panle window curtains that have a South Western style. Floral fabrics are a huge hit and will undoubtedly look great in most homes. As far as the way you want your fabric to be you can use 1 piece curtain fabric or 2 pieces. You will have more flexibility by using two pieces because you can tieback one curtain and leave the other one as is. You can also tieback both curtains and this is actually the best look. It won’t be possible if the width of your door is to small. Door window curtains can make your doors look much more beautiful but more importantly they will give you the privacy that you need. Who after all would want strangers that are knocking on the door to look through the glass, I certainly don’t.
